This report covers ICE trains only; IC and regional services are excluded. Across 203,040 observed stops, punctuality was 65.2% and the cancellation rate was 5%.
Large differences between individual ICE trains
The network average hides substantial variation. ICE 937 reached 95.5% punctuality, while ICE 1032 reached only 18% and averaged 18 minutes late per stop.

Departures around 6:00 were 83% on time, compared with 49.5% around 23:00.Sunday was the most reliable day (72.3%); Wednesday was the least reliable (58.9%).

The report uses real-time observations for the complete calendar month. A stop is on time when it is less than six minutes late. Cancellations are reported separately. Railwise is independent and is not affiliated with Deutsche Bahn AG.
